Drawing at the Dior annual conference

After drawing for German Dior Parfums so often during the last months, this was like a grand finale: their annual conference. It took place in the magnificent hotel of Heiligendamm and at the pool: The perfect environment to celebrate with JOY. The outfits were very glamorous and that made it easy to abstract them while still making them recognisable. Which was required, since we had four hours to draw some 80 guests. The waiting line was again really long. That is always a pleasure and an honour to see, it makes clear to me how fascinated people are by this kind of event, where they stay in focus for a little while and then see their figure coming alive from a white sheet of paper that they can take with them as a souvenir of a memorable evening.

ZEICHNEN AUF DER DIOR-JAHRESTAGUNG
Nachdem ich während der letzten Monate bereits so oft für Dior-Parfum Deutschland zeichnen durfte, war ihre Jahreskonferenz das große Finale. Diese fand im wunderschönen Hotel Heiligendamm und am Pool statt: Das perfekte Umfeld, um mit JOY zu feiern. Die Outfits waren sehr glamourös und so war es einfach, sie gleichzeitig zu abstrahieren und trotzdem wiedererkennbar zu machen. Das war auch notwendig, da wir nur vier Stunden Zeit hatten, um etwa 80 Gäste zu zeichnen. Die Warteschlange war wieder sehr lang. Das zu sehen bereitet mir großes Vergnügen und es ist zugleich eine große Ehre, da es zeigt, wie fasziniert die Menschen von dieser Art von Veranstaltung sind. Eine Veranstaltung, bei der sie selbst für eine Weile im Mittelpunkt stehen, um ihre Figur dann auf einem weißen Blatt Papier lebendig werden zu sehen, das sie als Erinnerung an einen unvergesslichen Abend mitnehmen können.
