Live sketching at white Kitzmas

Mountains, snow and Christmas spirit: The third Advent weekend gave me a little déjà-vu, because I was again on the road, or better on the rails in the Austrian Alps, just like the weekend before. But this time I was able to enjoy the fabulous panorama from the train in a relaxed manner, whereas I saw later very little of my place of action Kitzbühel. But that wasn't so bad after all, I wasn’t there for sightseeing but for live drawing at the Christmas party at Lanserhof, in order to give the employees an additional, special moment in the form of their personal fashion illustration in addition to the general, but still very creative evening program.
In a festive, yet surprisingly relaxed atmosphere, I drew about 55 of the numerous guests who had dressed up especially for the occasion. It glittered and sparkled everywhere, and while the women mostly wore black, there were some men in white.
A further highlight were, beside the festive clothes of the guests (most of the times, this is easier to realize by drawing), in any case the christmas cookies and of course the beautiful hotel room full of the smell of wood that was waiting for me after the work was done.

Berge, Schnee und Weihnachtsstimmung: Das dritte Adventswochenende bescherte mir ein kleines Déjà-Vu, da ich wie bereits am vorigen Wochenende wieder in den Österreichischen Alpen unterwegs war. Dieses Mal konnte ich das fabelhafte Panorama entspannt aus dem Zug betrachten, wohingegen ich von meinem Einsatzort Kitzbühel nur wenig gesehen habe. Doch das war halb so wild, ich war schließlich nicht zum Sightseeing, sondern zum Live-Zeichnen bei der Weihnachtsfeier von Lanserhof gekommen, um den Mitarbeitern neben dem allgemeinen, aber doch sehr kreativem Abendprogramm einen zusätzlichen, besonderen Augenblick in Form ihrer persönlichen Modeillustration zu verschaffen.
In festlicher, aber trotzdem überraschend lockerer Atmosphäre zeichnete ich ca 55 der zahlreichen Gäste, die sich zu diesem Anlass besonders schick gemacht hatten. Überall glitzerte und funkelte es, und während die Frauen größtenteils schwarz trugen, gab es einige Männer in weiß. Ein weiteres Highlight waren neben der festlichen Kleidung der Gäste (zeichnerisch ist dies meist leichter umzusetzen), auf jeden Fall die Plätzchen und das schöne, von Holzduft erfüllte Hotelzimmer, das mich nach getaner Arbeit erwartete. Ich bedanke mich bei Lanserhof, dass ich Teil ihrer White Kitzmas Party sein durfte, es war mir eine große Freude!
