bon appétit! . part 1

Vor einer Zeit habe ich ein cooles Projekt illustriert: es ging um Lernunterlagen für die Firma e-blick Medienberatung, aus Stuttgart, aber ich musste nicht Rechner und Ähnliches zeichnen, nein. Thomas Kettner hatte ein fantastisches Konzept, das ich hier nicht verraten werde, und meine Aufgabe war, ein lustiges Restaurantteam auf die Beinen zu stellen, es sollte ein auf dem ersten Blick chaotisches aber doch reibungslos funktionierendes Restaurant sein. Das Ergebnis sind acht Charaktere, die ich hier nach und nach vorstellen werde.

Als erstes: voilà Monsieur le Chef! Dieser Künstler der Töpfe ist groß, lustig aber auch streng mit seinem Team, wenn es sein muss. Er kostet alles, was aus der Küche kommt, und gibt seine persönliche Note. Lass Euch schmecken!

Hace unos meses tuve la ocasión de ilustrar un proyecto chulo: se trataba de material didáctico para la empresa e-blick de Stuttgart, pero no de dibujar ordenadores y cosas así, no. Thomas Kettner tenía un concepto fantástico, que no voy yo a desvelar aquí, y mi tarea consistía en crear el personal de un restaurante simpático, a primera vista caótico pero que funciona en perfecta coordinación. El resultado fueron ocho personajes que os voy a  ir presentando aquí uno a uno.

Para empezar: ¡voilá Monsieur le Chef! Este artista de las cacerolas es muy simpático pero también sabe levantar la voz a su equipo cuando hace falta. Supervisa todo lo que sale de la cocina y le da su toque personal. ¡Que aproveche!

A while ago I had the chance to illustrate a cool project: I had to draw for learning material for the company e-media, from Stuttgart, but I did not have to draw computers and stuff like that, no. Thomas Kettner had a fantastic concept, which I will not reveal here, and my task was to create the funny team of a restaurant that seems to be chaotic at first sight but that works perfectly. The result was eight characters, which I will present here one by one.

The first one: voilà Monsieur le Chef! This artist of the casseroles is nice and funny but he also has his hard side, if necessary. He tastes everything that comes out of the kitchen and gives it his personal touch. Enjoy your meal!
