Back to live (sketching): Lillet picnic in Stuttgart

It felt so absolutely fantastic to be able to work among people, sketching live again after seven months!

And it felt also so easy, because my first gig after such a long time was for a dear client I had worked for many times before. And, on top of it: it was in Stuttgart, the city where I live. So, no transportation needed. Just a short car drive on an Sunday afternoon.

Lillet, as always, had organised a beautiful picnic in the Killesberg park. Every two guests would become a basket full with delicious food, a blanket and the very needed beverages on such a hot day (we had more than 35 Celsius).

It was such a relaxed atmosphere: no loud music, just the water and the birds sounds of the park. All girls wearing beautiful summer outfits for me to draw...

The visitors sat in the many shadows that the park offers. Because of the current safety measures I went to the guests instead of them waiting in a queue for their drawing, as we used to do it in the pre-corona times. It was much easier than what I had imagined. I had bought a tool belt for my pens and, instead of yummy things, my basket carried the rest of the stuff I needed. I felt like a street artist and I truly enjoyed the day!
