Live sketching: Grand finale 2021

When 2021 started with restrictions in Germany that made events impossible, I could not have imagined that my year would end as it has.
The autumn started with a live sketching session in September for Zadig & Voltaire which was, in fact, a retake of the first event that was cancelled in March 2020. Last year and in the summer I had drawn at a couple of events but it was this Zadig & Voltaire event, this one that felt like a revenge for the pandemic, that I felt "we're back, baby". The truth is that back then, three months ago, I thought we were out of the covid era. Unfortunately, that is not the case. But as far as my work is concerned, it is true that that day was the beginning of the comeback.

Not only did I do two more events with ZV, in Geneva and Lausanne, I also went back to Switzerland to draw for TOD's, I was in Berlin 3 times: Tribute to Bambi for Madeleine, Clé de Peau at KaDeWe and an internal event for Shiseido. In Frankfurt I drew a fortnight ago for Dior couture and I'm going back tomorrow. The Advent Saturdays are dedicated to various Breuninger houses... And I spent two whole weeks in Berlin, drawing clients on a daily basis, for a project that for contractual reasons must remain secret but was fantastic.

So I am more than grateful, I have no words, to the clients who have waited patiently all this time and, as soon as it was possible, trusted me to delight their clients on selected occasions.
