Live Sketches at the Tribute to Bambi Event

This year I had the pleasure to draw for the third time for my client Madeleine Mode during the after-show party of the benefit event Tribute to Bambi. This time it was even more glamorous than usual, which was probably due to the location: The event took place on the evening before the Bambi Awards in the magnificent Casino in the traditional spa town of Baden-Baden, and not like the last years in hip Berlin. Shortly after my arrival and on a first visit to my later place of work, I was already blown away by the luxurious and festive atmosphere that the casino and the whole city of Baden-Baden are dispensing now at the beginning of the winter season.
While I was waiting for my mission at the after-show party between all the chandeliers, mirrors and chic in Madeleine fashion dressed hostesses and casino staff, I got into conversation with a nice American woman who told me the names of the faces of some celebrities. I must confess that my name memory is not the very best - true to the motto "Clothes make the man" I rather remember the clothes I drew. Nevertheless, among the guests I could recognize some familiar faces that I had already drawn in the past, in addition to Franziska Knuppe, there were also Elena Carrière, whom I was recently allowed to draw for GUERLAIN in an advertising spot, and the elf-like Petra van Bremen.
Since the event hall was so full that the first guests came out before the end of the event, my waiting time was suddenly over faster than expected. At 9 pm I started with the first of about 50 drawings. The small format was well received and so I was busy until half past two to give the guests a little joy on their way after the sometimes difficult stories that the organizations awarded by the Tribute to Bambi bring along.
The Tribute to Bambi Foundation and the Hubert Burda Media Group have once again organised a very pleasant evening which will at the same time help to change the lives of those who need our help.

Live ZEICHNEN Bei DER Tribute to Bambi VERAnstaltung
In diesem Jahr durfte ich bereits zum dritten Mal für meinen Kunden Madeleine Mode während der After-Show-Party der Benefizveranstaltung Tribute to Bambi zeichnen. Dieses Mal war es noch glamouröser als sonst, was wahrscheinlich an der Location lag: Die Veranstaltung fand am Vorabend der Bambi-Verleihung im prachtvollen Casino im traditionellen Kurort Baden-Baden, und nicht wie die letzten Male im hippen Berlin statt. Schon kurz nach meiner Ankunft und bei einer ersten Besichtigung meines späteren Arbeitsortes war ich hin und weg von der luxuriösen und festlichen Atmosphäre, die das Casino und ganz Baden-Baden jetzt zur beginnenden Winterzeit versprühen.
Während ich vor meinem geplanten Einsatz auf der After-Show Party zwischen all den Kronleuchtern, Spiegeln und schick (in Madeleine Mode) eingekleideten Hostessen und Casinomitarbeitern auf meinen Einsatz wartete, kam ich ins Gespräch mit einer netten Amerikanerin, die mir die Namen zu den Gesichtern einiger Celebrities verriet. Ich muss gestehen, dass mein Namensgedächtnis nicht das allerbeste ist – getreu dem Motto „Kleider machen Leute“ erinnere ich mich vielmehr an die Kleider, die ich gezeichnet habe. Dennoch konnte ich unter den Gästen einige bekannte Gesichter, die ich in der Vergangenheit bereits gezeichnet habe, wiedererkennen, neben Franziska Knuppe waren auch Elena Carrière, die ich kürzlich für Guerlain in einem Werbespot zeichnen durfte, und die elfengleiche Petra van Bremen vor Ort.
Da der Veranstaltungssaal so voll war, dass die ersten Gäste bereits vor dem Ende der Veranstaltung herauskamen, war meine Wartezeit plötzlich schneller vorbei als gedacht. Um 21 Uhr starte ich mit der ersten von rund 50 Zeichnungen. Das kleine Format kam gut an und so war ich bis halb zwei beschäftigt, den Gästen nach den doch teils schweren Geschichten, die die von der Tribute to Bambi ausgezeichneten Organisationen mitbringen, eine kleine Freude mit auf den Weg zu geben.
Die Tribute to Bambi-Stiftung und die Hubert Burda Mediengruppe haben wieder einmal einen sehr angenehmen Abend organisiert, der gleichzeitig dazu beitragen wird, das Leben derjenigen zu verändern, die unsere Hilfe benötigen.
