Drawing in the DIOR shop in breuninger, again

Following a successful collaboration in April, I was invited once again to bring live fashion illustration to the DIOR boutique at Breuninger Stuttgart this past May—two more days of connecting with clients through art, elegance and storytelling.

This time, I had the opportunity to incorporate a visual nod to DIOR’s most recent fashion show in Kyoto, held in the stunning Toji Temple gardens. For a few of the portraits, where time allowed, I added delicate cherry blossom backgrounds—a subtle tribute to the collection’s inspiration and setting. Though the priority remained to sketch as many guests as possible, these touches turned each drawing into a moment suspended between Paris and Japan.

The atmosphere inside the boutique echoed this theme beautifully. From the Japanese-inspired décor to the refined presentation folders—specially designed for the occasion—every element was curated to enhance the client’s experience. The portraits were handed over inside these elegant folders, which visually matched the pre-drawn illustrations of the Kyoto collection displayed on my desk.

As a live illustrator working in the luxury sector, I know that what makes these events memorable is the layering of details: custom sketches, branded presentation, and cohesive storytelling. Together, they form more than a souvenir—they become an experience.
